MONTROSE, CO: Montrose Memorial Hospital is offering “LEAD” program to help community members better understand medicine & the complex issues driving healthcare today.
LEAD – Leadership, Exploration and Development – is designed to give participants a behind-the-scenes look at the healthcare industry today and how it impacts the community.
“Healthcare is a complex organism. Participants will greatly benefit from participation in the LEAD program,” said Steve Hannah, MHA, CEO of Montrose Memorial Hospital.
Throughout the program, participants have one-of-a-kind experiences and gain insight into medical and technological advances through access to areas of Montrose Memorial Hospital not commonly available to the public. Participants will have the opportunity to network with members of the medical community from a wide variety of specialties.
By the end of the program, the participants will have obtained a working knowledge of the healthcare needs of our community and how Montrose Memorial Hospital is meeting those needs. “The LEAD Program gave me an even greater appreciation for Montrose Memorial Hospital. It was fascinating to visit and see a glimpse of different departments and how they function. The staff at MMH is highly impressive and listening to their passion for the programs they oversee is most rewarding. I highly recommend LEAD,” said 2016/2017 participant Nancy Hoganson Hannah
“Having been born at MMH and lived in this area most of my life, I thought it was time I learned more about our fantastic local hospital and what all services they provide. I was blown away,” said Allison Nadel, also a 2016/2017 LEAD program participant.
The LEAD Program begins September 21st and meets 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. LEAD will continue to meet on the third Thursday of each month through May, 2018.
