Montrose Memorial Hospital wins National Award

Montrose, CO:  For the third time in four years, Montrose Memorial Hospital was awarded Avatar Solution’s HCAHPS – Best Performer – Clean Composite for medium sized hospitals.

Avatar Solutions, an industry leader in healthcare quality improvement services, recently announced its 2014 award-winning hospital partners. Avatar collects data anonymously from MMH patients via questionnaire that includes the statement: “The area around my room and bathroom were “always” clean.” In 2014, 87% of patients from Montrose Memorial Hospital responded yes!  Both Colorado and the National average are at 74% for this item.

About the Award

All hospitals that administered the HCAHPS survey for 12 consecutive months in 2014 were eligible for top performer. The bed size breakouts (Critical Access/Specialty Hospital, Medium Hospital, & Large Hospital) were determined based on statistical analysis of Avatar’s normative data.  HCAHPS scores are available atwww.HospitalCompare.hhs.gov.
