JRC Upcoming Informational Classes

Joint Replacement Center at Montrose Memorial Hospital. This program is the only one of its kind on the Western Slope and is designed to provide a detailed clinical pathway throughout the preoperative, surgical, and postoperative phases of care.

All elective joint replacement patients will be enrolled in our program. They will receive a personal notebook at the surgeon’s office on the day their surgery is scheduled. This notebook gives patients all the information they need from pre-op education and questionnaires to home care details after surgery.   The orthopedic surgeons will be performing all elective joint surgeries on Monday and Tuesday and patients will attend a pre-operative education class prior to their surgery and hospitalization.

The Joint Replacement Center is located on the hospital’s third floor in rooms 350-355 and will be open Monday morning and close in the early afternoon on Friday. Patients will be cared for, and encouraged by, the same staff members throughout their stay.  This staff will also provide the preoperative education class for these patients and the therapists will continue to follow the patient throughout their outpatient stay, if the patient so chooses. In cooperation with the Orthopaedic surgeons, the unit will be staffed by Jacque Sherwood RN, Joan Lederhos RN, Lisa Perez RN, Deanna Mautz RN, Kevin Graham PT, Megan Lord PT, Ellen Erickson PTA, Rebecca Cooper OTR, and Dean McCall Program Director.
