Medical Imaging "All You Need is Right Here at MMH" Computed Tomography or CT Scan uses a combination of x-rays and computer technology. The state of the art 64 slice CT at MMH provides highly detailed 2D and 3D images; and the new technology reduces your exam time to just a few minutes. Your CT technologists have undergone additional training in CT and are certified by the American College of Radiology. Your Mammography Department meets stiff criteria put forth by the federal government and the Colorado Health Department. Recently an inspection conducted by the federal government resulted in high praise from the inspector. Our staff Mammographers are enthusiastic, caring; and together bring over 80 years of expertise to your exam. Magnetic Resonance Technology or MRI uses a combination of
a strong magnetic field, radio waves and computer technology. The cylinder you
lie in is a 1.5 Tesla magnet. The computer will send radio waves through your
body and collect the signal that is emitted from the hydrogen atoms in your
cells. This information is collected by an antenna and fed into a sophisticated
computer that produces the images. The MRI scanner at MMH is brand new and has everything it takes to acquire stunning images. Our image quality, coupled with our Radiologists special training in MRI, assures you of the best study possible. Your MRI technologists have chosen to undergo additional training in MRI; and are all MRI certified by the American College of Radiology. The Ultrasound Department at MMH does not have to be
accredited with the American College of Radiology, however, the Sonographers
wanted the department to be accredited. They worked hard to meet the rigorous
requirements of ACR.
Accreditation which includes submitting several ultrasound images from exams they have performed. You must get a score of 85% to become accredited, our initial score was 99.13. |
