Volunteer Services

Volunteer services at Montrose Memorial Hospital began in 1950.  Volunteers Services have a membership of approximately 90 volunteers and 10 chaplains.

Volunteers provide service in almost every area of the hospital.  The Golden Leaf Gift Shop is staffed by volunteers seven days a week.  The Arts and Crafts Committee makes gifts for inpatients, tray favors for patients and useful items that are sold in the gift shop. Patients are offered coffee, tea or juice by the volunteers who do the juice cart in the mid afternoon. The volunteer organization also holds bake sales, book sales, craft sales and other money making projects. There are a variety of clerical and patient assistance services provided in many areas of the hospital from admissions, radiology and laboratory, to purchasing and out-patient surgery.

If you are interested in becoming a hospital volunteer,

please call our Volunteer Office at 240-7341.
