When you are injured or ill, the last thing you want to think about is how to pay your bill. At Montrose Memorial Hospital, our customer service representatives are available to make the payment process as easy as possible for you. Our Patient Financial Services business office is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Estimate for Services

How much will my hospital care cost?

To receive a confidential price estimate for a medical service or procedure that you have already scheduled, contact our Pre-Authorization department at 970-252-2559 or 970-252-2573.

If you do not have services scheduled and would like a price estimate for a service you may need, please call us at 970-252-2666.

When you contact us, please have the following information available. The more information you provide, the more accurate our estimate can be.

  • Description of service needed
    Give us as much information as possible about the specific service or procedure as described by your doctor. It is very helpful if your doctor or doctor’s office can give you the procedure code or CPT code for the service.
  • Physician/specialist’s name
    Who is the physician ordering your service? If you are having surgery, who is the surgeon?

Our estimate of the cost of your procedure will be based on the information you provide. Many factors affect the actual cost, including whether the provider finds it necessary to perform more, fewer, or different procedures at the time of service. There may also be radiology, laboratory, pathology, and other services that result in additional charges from providers other than Montrose Memorial Hospital.

If you have questions about your health insurance deductible, co-payment, coinsurance, benefit limits, and what your insurance will cover for this service or procedure, please contact your insurance company or health plan.

 

If you are insured and have given us your current insurance information, we have already billed your insurance company.

We allow 30 days from billings for your insurance company to make payment. If your account is not paid in that time, we will ask you to help obtain payments from your insurance company.

You are responsible for charges not covered by your insurance. Your insurance can provide you with more information about your benefits.

To save paper and resources, itemized hospital bills are not automatically mailed to all patients. You may request an itemized copy of your hospital bill by calling 970-252-2666, submitting a request via email at billing@montrosehospital.com, or click the button below to fill out the request form.

Our payment options include:

Payment in full – You can pay your bill with cash, check, credit card, debit card. We accept all major credit cards.

Discounts are available for prompt payment if you do not have insurance.

Financial arrangements if you do not have insurance or have a balance due after insurance payment.

Interest free payment arrangements for up to 12 months.

Loans for terms longer than one year.

We cannot delay charges while liability claims or legal action is pending. Full payment remains the responsibility of the patient. Upon proper authorization, Montrose Memorial Hospital will make the records available to necessary parties.

Montrose Memorial Hospital recommends that you contact agencies that can enroll you in public assistance programs such as Medicaid, Medicare, Disability, Veterans Administration, or Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).

You may be eligible for financial assistance.

If you can’t afford your medical bills, we can help you apply for our financial assistance program.

We can help you with the application and your personal information will be kept confidential.

Our financial assistance program has clear guidelines to determine who qualifies for free or reduced charge services. Coverage is available up to 400% of poverty guidelines.

The amount of financial assistance is different for each person or family, depending on your financial circumstances.

We can help you sign up for public assistance programs, such as Medicaid, Medicare, Veterans Administration Disability, and Children’s Health Insurance program (CHIP).
